A well kept little gem of a park. Went after the 1st snow in the area, and found it to be a beautiful crisp fall day with a little dusting. My 3 girls loved the little hike to the waterfall for pictures. Great places for pictures
We stopped at the park for a picnic while passing through. Looked like we were one of many who enjoyed lunch, while we enjoyed watching many others partaking in varied park activities. Everyone we saw were active and thoroughly enjoying themselves. This visit brightened our day.
Gorgeous trails, loved climbing just above and around the falls and taking nature photography. Highly recommend you add this state park to your list of places to explore! I went in the summer and the whole state park is just beautiful! Support your state parks by getting the annual state parks vehicle permit too!
Wonderful park and an excellent example of the unique Driftless region of Southeast Minnesota. Quiet old growth oaks and elms stand stately around quiet paths. A small, pretty stream winds through the park, with a picturesque waterfall at the heart of the park's trail system. It's by far the busiest part of the park.
Great trails with a mix of easy and hard. It's not too far a walk to get to the waterfall. Very pretty in all seasons. Bring washable shoes because the trails are often muddy.
